Adding stuff up again, Genshiken on its way

So I finally got some time to put up some Genshiken sketches and sketch sets I have picked up as well as a few other series cels. I got a genshiken set from one of my favorite scenes coming soon and my first Karin art work. I wanted to not add any series but the sketches were too adorable to resist. Hopefully get through some more backlog postings, but no rest for the weary grad student unfortunately.

Finally a master

Well, finally I officially have my master's degree in psychology. It's been way too much work, but its good to actually tangibly have something from grad school. Now I am on to the phd, although first some much needed rest and relaxation. While I still have alot to do over this summer, I should be finally able to make a dent in this cel backlog. 2 weeks of sleep though first.

I looked to find I had note updated since October 2007! That is really a long time. I have been getting cels, but grad school has been way to busy this semester. So finally an update. I put up most of my new Nadesico beauties. I have more to scan and I hope to have more time for updates to both my sites once the summer starts. Maybe another update next week? That would be a nice regular schedule....

I recently got my first art from Genshiken and I have to say I'm pretty excited. about it. Great show about otakuism. I also won a coupl Galaxy Angel cels that should be to me by tomorrow. Might even be here today, but I am stuck at school until 9:00pm because of class and when I get back any packages recieved will be locked tight in the apartment managers office until morning =[. So yeah, update tomorrow if all goes well....

Finnally had time for a significant update last night, so I added 14ish cels. Finally some nice Princess Nine action close ups. Grad school started back up this week but since I am waiting on other people to do their parts of continuing projects I actually have some free time. That should disappear pretty soon, as I will be involved in 4 experiments doing data collection this semester. Until then I will try to get some of my cel backlog up and scanned in. And perhaps by some miracle some site maintence/scheme changes. We will see how long this little break lasts....

Over the last 2 days I have added 15-20 unknowns to my unknown section, so any help with them would be appreciated. My website is going along pretty well with development and I should be able to have the big grand opening in a couple weeks (as opposed to the sneak preview/sailormoon settei sale). Vacation Sunday/ Sailormoon settei to sell

Hi, I'm going on a family vaction to Maine this weekend for about a week so that should be fun. I have so much stuff to still scan so I will try to do an update today to leave you all with. I got about 80 sheets of Sailormoon settei the other day and will be selling off the ones I don't need when I get back and have time to scan them. My sailormoon knowledge is not good enough to identify where they are from but at least one of them says it is from R. I really have no idea what settei is worth at all so if anyone has any ball park ideas for what I should sell them for let me know. So see you all post vacation,

Working on my new website

So I decided to start my own website. I found a domain name that I was SURE would have been taken and when I saw it was available I had to snap it up. So I decided to learn html and have been building the site this week. Once it is up and running well I will let everyone know the address. I will be using it to sell anime cels I don't need and since I already suplement my meager grad student income through buying and selling anime and manga they will be sold there as well. I will keep everyone posted as it develops.

My sister came home from college on Saturday and brought her scanner home so I finally have a useable scanner here now. I did an update today and will get back into the updating swing of things. I have the backlog cels to do and more coming in the mail.

Way too busy week

So I am finally home for the summer. Last week was WAY too busy. My mom was visiting me at school, so that was both a help and distraction. We then drove home on Wednesday the 12 hours between school and my parent's house and I drived the whole way. Then Thursday I finished up my final class paper a good 10 minutes before I got on a plane to go to Dallas for a psychology conference. So I did the whole conference thing and then had to get up at 4:15am on Sunday to catch my flight back home. so yeah I am still recovering. I hope to put some more cel up but I will be doing it on the super sketchy scanner my parent's have. I'm hoping my dad's msytification with how to use it correctly will not carry over to me as its going to be mad frustrating to not have scanner here and a lot of nice shiny cels to scan. So time will tell.

End of year is WAY too busy

Wow the end of the school year has been way too much work to do. I only have time to buy cels not post them sadly. This should abait in the next couple weeks thankfully. And my mom is visiting this week as well, so there is really no time to do anything. So I will return when I can.

So my thesis proposal draft is almost done after like a million hours of work so I should be able to start posting the mammoth amount of cels I got recently. But perhaps first a nap....

3/28/06 My first anime cel trade!

I made my first anime cel trade yesterday. My Jura Tripper section did not last long as I traded all 6 of them to Zag, http://zagcels.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
My six Jurai Tripper cels will have good company now with the 140 series cels she already has. I'll be putting up the 6 cels I got from her when I get them (So that they will posted sometime this decade I'll post them before I finish with the mamoth 350 cels I just got).

3/27/06 Wow Big Box

I just got in the mail today a 25 lb (!) box of anime cels. That's 350+ cels. It was a little more than I really should have spent as a poor grad student, but the price was too good to pass up. I have to say it is going to take forever to sort them all. And then scan a good number of them to put up here. But at least it give a good distraction from all the master's thesis proposal work I really should be doing...
